The Florida Fun Shoot (FFS) is a sporting clays event held at Sarasota Gun Club in Bradenton Florida in late winter each year.  Through the generous support of so many we have raised over $250,000 in four years in support of our veterans, with an average growth in the event of approximately 30% per year.

We can assure you this is one of the most rewarding events you will ever attend.  FFS is not your typical sporting clay event; we have the honor of having veterans – wounded, retired, and still serving – law enforcement, and first responders attend and more importantly take part in the shoot.

We have had some of this country’s most courageous warriors come and tell us their stories.

Just as the name of the event implies this is an opportunity for us all to spend time with more of this country’s bravest.

Our first Evening with Heroes was timed to recognize the 23rd anniversary of The Battle of Mogadishu.  In this operation nineteen Americans gave their lives in the defense of our nation.  This event featured Colonel Danny R. McKnight, U.S. Army, Retired, who played an integral part in The Battle of Mogadishu and his actions, along with so many heroes from our military is depicted in the movie Black Hawk Down.

Our second Evening with Heroes featured Kris “Tanto” Paronto, a former Army Ranger from 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and private security contractor.  Kris was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the terrorist attack on the US Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, September 11th, 2012, helping to save over 20 lives while fighting off terrorists from the CIA Annex for over 13 hours. His story is told in the book 13 Hours, written by Mitchell Zuckoff and his five surviving annex security team members.

We will continue to have even more great patriots who have given so much to serve our great nation.  Please don’t miss the opportunity to meet these heroes and at the same time provide needed opportunities and assistance to those who have served.

This event featured multiple teams of 10 facing each other in a 6 on 6 match up. Each player received a t-shirt and BBQ lunch.
